Responsibility under pressure

ABOUT DOMINIK JUNGHANSS
My perspective has grown over more than thirty years across industries, countries and roles with real accountability. Together, we reach decisions people can stand behind. When the mission needs it, I stay for the build.
EXPERIENCE
Eight years in the German Air Force, including a three-and-a-half-year NATO assignment in the United States, shaped how I think about responsibility, resilience and the ability to act under pressure. My commercial path spans supply chain, industry, enterprise technology, international sales and commercial leadership. I have led national and international sales teams, opened markets for scale-ups and global enterprises and worked with complex buying centres and C-level decision-makers.
Eight years in the German Air Force, including a three-and-a-half-year NATO assignment in the USA, shaped how I approach responsibility, resilience and action under pressure.
International key-account and leadership experience with BMW, MAN, Volvo Cars and Scania. Contract values from €250,000 to €5 million, sales cycles up to 24 months and responsibility for a €65 million territory.
Markets, teams, workshops and partners across Europe, the USA, Malaysia, Australia and South America, connecting military, industrial and enterprise-technology experience.
I remain the central Mission Lead and, when needed and agreed, bring selected trainers, coaches and specialists from my network into the work.
LEADERSHIP STARTS WITH THE RIGHT QUESTION
Those who ask, lead.
I took this principle with me from my time in the German Armed Forces. Good leadership does not start with the fastest answer, but with the right questions: What really happened? What are we merely assuming? What is at stake? Who takes responsibility? And what needs to happen next?
POSITIVE LEADERSHIP · PEOPLE AND RESULTS
To me, Positive Leadership is not a feel-good programme. It connects strengths, purpose and psychological safety with accountability, honest feedback and consistent implementation. This combination shapes my Decision Journeys, executive sparring and work with leadership teams under pressure.
At the Positive Leadership Forum in Munich, I deliberately exchange ideas with people who put strengths-based leadership into practice in organisations. I am already registered again for the 2027 forum.

TRUST FROM OPERATIONAL PRACTICE
“Dominik combines structured thinking with a strong hands-on mentality and a consistent focus on implementation.”
Alexis worked closely with Dominik during his interim mandate as Sales Director, supporting JVK in building a more structured, proactive and internationally scalable sales organisation. JVK is one of the long-established, globally recognised premium manufacturers of filter plates for demanding applications in mining, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, food production, recycling and wastewater treatment.

My experience is particularly relevant where complex B2B solutions, international markets, partner structures and long decision cycles meet. JVK is one of the long-established and globally recognised premium manufacturers of filter plates. Its solutions for filter presses are used in mining, pharmaceutical and chemical plants, food production, recycling and wastewater treatment. At the same time, I can work across sectors: not as a supposed expert in every product, but as an experienced outside perspective on decisions, leadership, sales and commercial systems.
OUTSIDE-IN ↔ INSIDE-OUT
The documented case shows how market, customers, cultural context, local capabilities and accountability become one shared decision system.
